It seems rumors are passed down from one generation to another (most likely embellished
as time went by). It is said that Henry Davis went to Linsey Lambert and offered him a horse in exchange for his wife, Lizzie.
Evidently, Linsey took Henry up on the offer. It is a fact that Henry bought a house in Wytheville and left that house to
Lizzie in his will.
